| A new award to the passion of C.A.M.P. product innovation |
| The new Tour Nanotech crampon will be awarded with the prestigious OutDoor Industry Award 2011 at the OutDoor trade show, which will take place in Friedrichshafen (Germany) from 14th to 17th July. The exhibition represents the most important international event related to outdoor market, with more than 800 exhibitors and about 20.000 estimated visitors. |

Organizer of the OutDoor Industry Award is the IF, "International Forum Design", considered one of the world’s leading industrial design institutions. It was in charge of assigning the prizes and evaluated more than 250 products, coming from all around the world; the jury was composed of alpinists, journalists, retailers and consumers, and they has selected the best equipment according to quality, innovation, safety, design and choice of materials.
The material of Tour Nanotech is one of the features that has probably affected the jury: this 10 points crampon is in fact totally made of Sandvik Nanoflex, an innovative steel alloy that is 60% stronger than normal steel. This allows to have a tool with an exceptional ability to penetrate the ice, with a decreasing weight of 40% than the other technical crampons.
After numerous awards had the Corsa Nanotech ice axe, and XLC Nanotech and Vector Nanotech crampons, CAMP and CASSIN products made with inserts of Sandvik Nanoflex, now comes another evidence of value of this particular alloy, whose properties are maximally exploited in a technical product for mountains.
The Tour Nanotech crampon distinguished himself in the "Mountain-climbing equipment" category; it will be awarded during the official ceremony that will be held on the Fashion Show Stage in Hall A2, on July 14th at 5.30 pm.
An important recognition for C.A.M.P., that first of all applied Sandvik Nanoflex steel alloy in mountain equipment: this is a stimulus to keep on searching for innovation, typical of all CAMP and CASSIN products.
You can see and touch the new Tour Nanotech not only at C.A.M.P. booth in B2-402, but also at the East entrance of the show in a special exhibition area exclusively dedicated to the Award winners.
