Spitfire
The Spitfire represents the perfect crossover between the high-speed world or rando-racing and the lightweight requirements of freeride touring where speed is safety. Designed for dedicated and demanding ski mountaineers, this model uses the finest technology currently available to create a lightweight and FAST adjusting high-performance boot. The Grilamid® shell and the Carbon Reinforced Polymer CRP Cuff™ keep weight to a minimum. Our patent pending Fast Lock System™ consists of the unique Vertebra Technology™, a hardwearing ergonomic power structure that works like a backbone and the innovative Cam Closure System™, which allows for the transition from ski to walk mode in just one super-fast movement guaranteeing a perfect comfortable lockdown fit. Freedom of movement reaches exceptional levels thanks to the EZ Flex™ system incorporated into the Pebax® tongue while the shell’s ergonomic profile facilitates the walk mode and enhances the general level of comfort thus allowing power to be conveyed directly to the skis. The removable WarmSole™ insole creates an insulating barrier against cold and make this one of the warmest in the two-buckle category. Closure system
Fast Lock System™: All-in-one speed closure and cuff tension regulation system converts the boot quickly and easily from ski mode to walk mode for lightning fast transitions.
Components:
Vertebra Technology™: Carbon Reinforced Polymer (CRP) - PA12 Polyamide/Nylon and Carbon Fiber hardwearing ergonomic power structure that works like an exoskeleton (patent pending). It is the backbone of the cuff construction and guarantees maximum security and precision during downhill ski mode. No need for a stiff tongue, the power comes from the Vertebra when it is locked out in downhill mode.
Cam Closure System™ : A quick-release lock mechanism integrated to the Vertebra Technology™ spine comprising a spring-loaded cam activated by the LS Lever (patent pending).
QuickBuckle™: Set-it-and-forget-it quick release buckle system controls the Cam Closure System™ which activates the walk/ski mode of the Vertebra Technology™ spine. The quick-wire gate on the inside of the buckle keeps the power strap in place when hiking or climbing in walk mode.
Adjustable Forward Lean: You can tune the boot to your personal preference with this interchangeable adjustable system for regulating the inclination of the cuff in three different positions (12°, 14°, 16°).
