Denis Urubko climbed Kangchenjunga again
Denis Urubko has climbed Kangchenjunga again! He reached the 8586 meters summit on 19th May at 9.40 am, becoming one of the few alpinists able to climb twice the third highest mountain of the world.

In 2002 Denis climbed Kangchenjunga via normal route on the southwest face and in the last days he got the success along the British route on the northwest face and north ridge with a new difficult 1200 meters variant to reach 7000 meters.

Urubko is now ready for his real goal: to climb a new alpine style route in the middle of the huge Kangchenjunga northwest face. Due its technical and physical commitment this amazing challenge needs the best acclimatization that Denis team achieved on the British route. Urubko and his mates will rest some days in the base camp and then they will start the new route. Denis adopted this strategy also on Manaslu in 2006 managing to achieve a great double success. Stay tuned: the strong C.A.M.P. athlete is ready to write another major page of Himalayan alpinism!
