Stefano Ghisolfi climbed three 9a in a month
C.A.M.P. athlete Stefano Ghisolfi managed to climb three 9a in a month. On 31st May he made the first ascent of TCT at Gravere (Susa valley, close to Turin). Eight days later he climbed Biologico at Narango (Arco) and on 5th July he eventually got Underground at Massone (Arco again). These are the 3rd, 4th and 5th 9a climbed by Ghisolfi, that in 2013 repeated Ground Zero at Tetto di Sarre and Grandi gesti at Sperlonga.

«TCT is my hardest project, tried two years ago for the first time – Ghisolfi says –. This is the route I spent more time on, the most difficult I ever done, much harder than Ground Zero. TCT is a combination of two existing routes, L'extrema cura 8c and Base jump 8b+ and climbs the hardest section of these. I wanted to dedicate it to Tito Claudio Traversa – that's the reason I named it TCT – because I want everybody will remember him forever. The last time I saw Tito was at Gravere: he was trying Pablo Diretta 8b+. I was really impressed with the way he tried it: all the moves and holds were different to mine because he was much shorter, and a few days later he sent it».

Ghisolfi made the 4th repeat of Biologico after three days of attempts. «The route has two hard boulders with a partial rest between – he explains – and it is just a little softer that Ground Zero». About Underground, Stefano says that it is a funny route: he attempted it first time in 2010 just for fun and then in 2013 without understanding the first boulder. Some weeks ago he finally found the right sequence and managed to climb also this amazing route.
