| Ferrino 140th anniversary: an evening between past and future. |
| Torino - On Sunday 6th June the Turin Company Ferrino celebrated its 140th Anniversary. |

|
The host families Ferrino and Rabajoli with the complete staff welcomed 400 guests, cutomers, testimonials and many friends connected to the Company. The location was the overlooking Po river Castello del Valentino, which perfectly represents Ferrino mood. The park surrounding the castle is the best known place of the city for sport and outdoor activities and the castle houses today the seat of Politecnico University an interesting union of tradition and innovation, primary elements of Ferrino's Dna.
The celebration of Ferrino 140-yar activity summarized the different Brand souls: in the courtyard a suggestive Ferrino base camp was set up with the pyramidal tent seat of Casa Italia during the "K2 fifty years later" expedition in 2004.
In the Sala delle Colonne Ferrino exhibited its historical products and the advertisement pages which supported their launches.
Inside a particular area created with 2 "Campo base" tents the Company realized an amusing "camp cinema" with a non stop, new Ferrino Kaleidoscope movie: an emotional video, expressly conceived for the event, showing the Brand world.
The 5 senses were involved in an experience dominated by image sequences through mirror devices which created an astonishing and hypnotic effect.
Images floated in a stream of surrounding natural sounds and fragrances inspired by white cedar, guaiac and sandal wood, with underlying juniper and moos tones. This particular atmosphere created by Oikos Fragrances led the observer in an enchanted and extremely assorted environment. This is Ferrino world, where every step moves to different natural scenes like mountain, glacier, rock, desert, involved sports, products and equipments.
During the evening the guests enjoyed interviews with the most important mountaineers like Reinhold Messner, who sent a moving record of his long relationship with the Company, Silvio Mondinelli who just came back from his 16° 8000 height, the Everest North, an exceptional mountaineer belonging to the small group of people who, like Messner, climbed without oxygen all 8000 heights and North and South Everest sides.
Carla Perrotti, the woman who alone crossed the sneakiest deserts of the world.
Giovanni Badino of La Venta Team who disclosed us the Naica misteries, the charming and impossible Mexican cave which hedges the biggest selenium crystals in the world.......all in an amusing and relaxed atmosphere, a true, great Family Party.
The event offered the chance to present the book "Outdoor design from 1870". The volume by Electa, with texts by Franco Mello and Pier Paolo Peruccio, describes the history of Ferrino Company and opens the "Play Design" by Electa Collection.
Musical interludes enlived the event and the choreographies of Arke' Group used the tipical Ferrino products in a funny and involving way to create danced virtual travels: tents used as butterfly wings and head lamps to create original, optical, light effects, just to mention the most striking ones.
